  • PATRICK O’CONNOR

    Owner & PresidentMAI Appraiser, MBA Harvard

    Patrick O’Connor has been active in reducing property taxes, providing expert witness testimony and appraising commercial real estate property since 1983. Pat is active in publishing analysis and data with respect to the real estate market. He holds a MAI, the highest achievable designation from the Appraisal Institute, and is a licensed senior property tax consultant. Pat earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.

  • MIKE OLIVARES

    Chief Operating Officer

    Mike Olivares has served as O’Connor’s Chief Operating Officer since 2014. He has more than 25 years of consulting and operational management experience in the information technology, retail and real estate industries. Mike’s real estate background includes software consulting, federal tax reduction, and property tax reduction consulting. As Chief Operating Officer he maintains primary responsibility for O’Connor’s property tax division, leading his team in the protest of 195,000 to over 200,000 properties per year.

  • DOUG FORD

    Manager of Commercial TaxProperty Tax Division, Senior Property Tax Consultant

    With a 25-year background in commercial and multifamily property management, Doug Ford is a Senior Licensed Property Tax Consultant and Supervisor of the Commercial Property Tax Division. His skill as an analyst for apartment acquisitions contributes to his success in assessment reductions in this specialty area. He is involved in the Institute of Real Estate Management and has been a director for the Apartment Association of Tarrant County.

  • TONYA FELIX

    General Counsel

    Tonya Felix-Davis serves as the general counsel for O’Connor. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in consumer science and merchandising from the University of Houston and a Juris Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law. In addition, Felix-Davis holds bar and court admissions from the State Bar of Texas, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

  • Sari Quinlan

    Director of Federal Tax Reduction
    After joining O’Connor in 2012, Sari has built expertise across multiple divisions of the company. With a background in real estate, she onboarded as a property tax agent, but since 2017, Sari has specialized in the cost segregation process, providing federal tax relief to commercial property owners . As the leader of the Federal Tax Reduction team, Sari is also part of the Executive Committee, contributing knowledge as a subject matter expert to the leadership of the company.

    Roger has a combined more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate.
    After he graduated from Temple Junior College with an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Houston and attended the University of Texas taking graduate level classes in Epidemiology and Medical Geography. Following a change in career path to focus on real estate, Roger spent 13 years in commercial property management and has been with O’Connor since 2005

    Abraham Tieh is internationally focused commercial and hotel property tax appeals executive with more than 35 years of real estate industry experience in commercial property tax appeals and valuation activities. A licensed senior property tax consultant, and a licensed real estate broker, Abraham leads a team of experienced commercial property tax consultants that are aggressive in representing clients in the appeals process to achieve the lowest possible assessment value and tax payments. Abraham’s proven track record include leading enterprise level growth of O’Connor through hospitality industry affiliations involving renowned hospitality associations, investors, and management firms. He also directed strategic growth for O’Connor that encompasses most innovative appeals methods and judicial appeals management. Abraham also played a major role in development of the O’Connor Approach, a proprietary methodology in removing intangible business enterprise value of commercial properties that is not taxable which has won landmark court cases, reducing a significant amount of property tax for O’Connor’s clients. Abraham is also a Featured speaker at AAHOA, AHLA ALIS, Lodging Conference, Choice, Sonesta, IHG Owner’s Association, and AHLA Foundation events.

    Andrew Choy is a licensed real estate broker, Senior Property Tax Consultant, a book author, and a prominent real estate developer. Choy was a recipient of many top industry awards including Developer of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, and Best Overall Marketed Project in the nation awards. Choy has 35+ years experience in property management, consulting, sales, marketing, construction, accounting and property tax. Choy created a proprietary methodology to calculate and deduct nontaxable intangible business value of a hotel’s flag.
