Owner & President
MAI Appraiser, MBA Harvard
Patrick O’Connor has been active in reducing property taxes, providing expert witness testimony and appraising commercial real estate property since 1983. Pat is active in publishing analyses and data with respect to the real estate market. He holds a MAI, the highest achievable designation from the Appraisal Institute, and is a licensed senior property tax consultant. Pat earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.

Chief Operating Officer
Mike Olivares has served as O’Connor’s Chief Operating Officer since 2014. He has more than 25 years of consulting and operational management experience in the information technology, retail and real estate industries. Mike’s real estate background includes software consulting, federal tax reduction, and property tax reduction consulting. As Chief Operating Officer he maintains primary responsibility for O’Connor’s property tax division, leading his team in the protest of 170,000 to 195,000 properties per year.

With a 25-year background in commercial and multifamily property management, Doug Ford is a Senior Licensed Property Tax Consultant and Supervisor of the Commercial Property Tax Division. His skill as an analyst for apartment acquisitions contributes to his success in assessment reductions in this specialty area. He is involved in the Institute of Real Estate Management and has been a director for the Apartment Association of Tarrant County.

General Counsel
Tonya Felix-Davis serves as the general counsel for O’Connor. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in consumer science and merchandising from the University of Houston and a Juris Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law. In addition, Felix-Davis holds bar and court admissions from the State Bar of Texas, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit

Roger Hibbs is the national director for O’Connor’s Federal Tax Reduction division. Roger has a combined 26 years of experience in commercial real estate and has been dedicated to federal tax reduction for commercial property owners since 2005. Roger directs a team of real estate professionals whose combined efforts have provided more than 5,000 cost segregation studies resulting in millions of dollars of tax reduction for O’Connor’s clients.

Abraham Tieh is a senior commercial property tax consultant at O’Connor. He is a licensed senior property tax consultant and licensed real estate broker with over 30 years of commercial real estate investment experience. He has attended over 2,000 property tax protest hearings resulting in over $250 millions of dollars of value reductions for his clients. He is an expert in determining intangible business value of franchise and brands

Andrew Choy is a real estate broker, Senior Property Tax Consultant, real estate developer and accountant with 30+ years of experience in property management, consulting, sales, marketing, development, construction, accounting and property tax. Choy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Houston, majoring in accounting with a minor in finance and he is a licensed Texas real estate broker and a licensed Senior Property Tax Consultant.

William Daly has extensive knowledge and experience in binding arbitration, litigation review and litigation settlement conferences as well as business development. In addition to his 10 years at O’Connor, William has an additional 10 years of experience as a real estate investor and business owner. William holds a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from the University of Houston, Senior Property Tax License and is a Texas licensed real estate agent.

Sam has been a senior Property Tax Consultant here at O’Connor for 14 seasons. He has conducted over 22,000 administrative tax-appeal s hearings, including oral arguments before the Appraisal Review Board and binding arbitration hearings. He has successfully achieved over $2.2 billion in taxable value reductions for O’Connor’s clients which equates to reducing their tax liability by more than $58 million. Sam Sherkawy received his law degree from South Texas College of Law.

Kirk Ward has been with O’Connor for more than 13 years, specializing in valuing real estate property throughout Texas and supervising the departmental support in Central Texas to assist in property valuation. He joined our firm after nine years with the Harris County Appraisal District and is a Registered Professional Appraiser, a Certified Tax Administrator and a Senior Licensed Property Tax Consultant.
